Amherst’s Trick or Treat for 2012 will be held on Wednesday, October 31st, 2012 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
The Amherst Fire Department is again sponsoring the annual Amherst Ohio Halloween Parade and Costume contest, which will be held on Sunday, October 28th, 2012. Registration for the costume contest will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the San Spring Building at 480 Park Avenue, Amherst, OH. Judging will start promptly with the parade to follow immediately after.
Amherst Ohio Mayor Dave Taylor’s Annual State of the City Address as given at the regularly scheduled Amherst Ohio City Council meeting on Monday, February 13, 2012:
“This being my 9th State of the City Address, I am pleased to report that we are still fiscally sound as a city. We must and will remain responsible and prudent in all our financial endeavors just as we have done for the previous (8) years. While facing the possibility of additional state cuts we still have a fluid situation in the general fund, but remain stable and solvent in both the general fund and revenue accounts.
The Amherst Fire Department’s Annual Halloween Steak Fry is Saturday, October 29th, 2011 at St. Joseph Social Hall in Amherst, Oh. Dinner will be from 5:30-8:00 p.m. with music from 9:00-11:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes! 21 and over only.
Tickets are $20, which includes beer and pop, and can be purchased by calling 440-988-4117 or see your local Amherst Firefighter.
Amherst’s Halloween Parade and Costume Contest, sponsored by the Amherst Fire Department, will be held on Sunday, October 30th.

Trick or Treat will be held on Monday, October 31st, 2011 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. Residents who wish to hand out candy are asked to turn on their porch lights.
