1st Annual Golfing for Good Government Outing

The 1st Annual Golfing for Good Government Golf Outing is scheduled for October 6, 2012 at the Willow Creek Golf Club in Vermilion, Ohio. The four person scramble golf outing will be a shot gun start at 8:30 a.m. (registration begins at 7:30 a.m.). Cost of the outing is $65 and includes breakfast, lunch, catered dinner, goody bags, and door and skill shot prizes. Teams can also enter the String Game and increase the fun and chances of winning. Sponsorship is also available and welcome.

Emily’s Hopeful Holiday Fundraiser – The 5th Annual

The 5th Annual Emily’s Hopeful Holiday Fundraiser is Saturday, November 5th, 2011 at Church Street Bar & Grille, in Amherst, Ohio. Church Street will be donating 20% of your dining bill to this great cause, as well as great prizes being raffled off.

The Amherst Fire Department’s Annual Halloween Steak Fry is Saturday, October 29th, 2011 at St. Joseph Social Hall in Amherst, Oh. Dinner will be from 5:30-8:00 p.m. with music from 9:00-11:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes!  21 and over only.

Tickets are $20, which includes beer and pop, and can be purchased by calling 440-988-4117 or see your local Amherst Firefighter.

REMINDER: Emily’s Hopeful Holiday fundraiser is this Sunday, November 14th, at Ziggy’s Bar & Grill, from 3-7 p.m., with Tim Blake providing live entertainment from 5-7 p.m.

Emily’s Hopeful Holiday was established in December 2007 in honor of Emily Zichi, a 10 year old cancer survivor here in Amherst, Ohio.  This fund helps struggling families with paying their bills while their child is receiving treatments at Rainbows Babies Children’s Hospital in Cleveland.

AMHERST — For the fourth year, Emily’s Hopeful Holiday will raise money to benefit families at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.

Halloween Porterhouse Steak Fry

Amherst Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1662, 165 Cleveland Ave., hosts a Halloween Porterhouse Steak Fry Oct. 29, serving from 5 to 8 p.m. Tom Todd, the one man band will entertain from 7 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $12 per person. For tickets or further information, call 988-8102.

Amherst Democratic Fundraiser

The Annual Amherst Democrat Women Fundraiser will be held on April 25, 2010 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Hall. Ticket prices for the chicken dinner are $15.00 for adults and $2.50 for children. A Chinese raffle will also be held.
